Espinoza says district can be better represented with someone who is more aligned with the voters on taxes
Hi, I’m Maia Espinoza and I want to be your voice in Olympia. I’ve recently announced my candidacy for the 28th Legislative District, Position 2, celebrating our campaign kickoff in DuPont last month. It was inspiring to be cheered on by an audience of community members, business leaders and elected officials from across Washington State. The event was also streamed live on our campaign Facebook page.
Being raised in a military family, I understand the importance of listening. I’ve already begun doorbelling to learn more about your concerns. Our campaign is emphasizing the importance of building on community relationships, meeting with small business-owners and other community leaders. You will catch me working hard as I visit with constituents across the 28th District.
As the oldest child in a family of 7, I have been refining my leadership skills my whole life. With more than a decade of experience working in sales and marketing, my husband and I started our own small business in Lakewood. Also serving on Pacific Lutheran University’s Business Network board, I’ve continued to grow business relationships within Pierce County and across Washington State.
Working in Olympia, I have also established relationships within the legislature and have contributed to the passage of a number of bills. In 2014, I founded the Center for Latino Leadership to promote civic-engagement within Washington’s Latino community. Last year I worked on a bipartisan basis for the Governor’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs. I’m ready to put experience and inclusive strategy to work in the state Legislature for you.
Our campaign already is in full swing with community events, doorbelling, business walks and meetings planned.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
I am proud to be working with a strong campaign team which includes precinct committee officers, community members and business professionals from across Pierce County and beyond.
Together we can continue to make a difference in our local government. I ask for your support in winning this important election. Making a personal donation, volunteer an hour of your time or share with your friends the importance of this race – assuring we win this important election. Please contact my Campaign Manager, Patty Mannie, at 253-208-0135 to get involved.
Thank you for your continued support,
The 28th Legislative District includes Anderson Island, DuPont, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Ketron Island, Fircrest, Steilacoom, University Place and parts of Graham, Spanaway & Tacoma.
